Hey there, I’m Katie Kenny!

Maternity leave starting November 2024 with salon return in February 2025.

I have been in the beauty industry for over 10 years as a hairstylist and makeup artist. From the MAC counter, to fashion week, weddings, and behind the chair my passion is working with people, I want to help you enhance your natural beauty and personal style! I love cutting hair and creating dimensional sun-kissed balayage on brunettes.

I am passionate about self care and conscious beauty! I offer makeup services for special occasions, intimate weddings, as well as lessons. If I am not working with clients, I am creating beauty content on social media, drinking matcha, or playing with my dog Disco.

Consultation

I require all new clients to have an in-person or email consultation (complimentary) to determine which services are right for you. Knowing your hair’s current state and discussing your hair goals will help me book appropriate appointment lengths and decide how we will achieve your desired look. It also gives us a chance to get to know each other! You may book a “consultation” through Summer Hours online booking site or text (201) 738-9835 with your full name, photos of your current hair and a few inspiration photos.

Base Color

For new growth touch-ups on brunettes, redheads or gray coverage. Not recommended for platinum blonde or highlighted hair.

A single color applied to the roots plus gloss. $190

A single color applied to the roots and pulled through plus gloss. $220

Balayage

For a sun-kissed glow with depth and movement.

Mini: For current clients with less than two months of new growth wanting a hairline blend & toner: $225

Partial: For less than three months of new growth on current clients only. $265

Gloss

A demi-permanent color used to refresh current color, add shine and increase UV protection. Perfect for in between color services and before an event or vacation. This service is often referred to as a gloss, glaze or toner. $140

Haircut

Long Haircut: for hair below ears. $120

Short haircut: hair above the ear - think pixies $100

Clipper haircut: $80

Bang Trim: on existing bangs. $25

Kid’s Cut - 8 years old and under: $50

Treatments

An add-on express service for moisture and shine, add to any existing appointment. $25

Styling

Turn heads at your next event or wedding with beautifully styled hair. For best results please arrive with clean, dry hair. Price does not include blow-dry $150.

A wash and blow-dry with light iron work. $75

Booking Policy

All appointments are booked, rescheduled or canceled directly through me or using my secure online booking site.

Summer Hours is a host salon for Independent Stylists; meaning Summer Hours does not have direct access to stylists booking sites or client's information. By hosting Independent Stylists they provide an environment for stylists to work and amenities for clients experience. All bookings and inquiries should be directed towards stylists.

Service Adjustment Policy

It is my desire that any client of mine leaving the salon will be satisfied with their service results based on our consultation, goals, integrity of hair and preplanning future appointments for large color changes. I would love to offer solutions to ensure your happiness. If you are not pleased with your service results, please reach out directly to me via text or email  within 1 week of your service date.
